Как вспоминает бывший гендиректор «Киевресторантреста» Исай Фельдман, Юфа был одним из тех, кто организовывал при Дворце спорта выносную и выездную торговлю мороженым и другими продуктами.
Чуть позже Юфа основывает кооператив «Олимп», который также в основном занимался торговлей. В частности, бизнесмен завозил из других республик СССР мандарины, рыбу, грибы и клюкву.
Кроме того, «Олимп» выпекал лаваш и пирожки, делал мороженое и вафельные стаканчики, а также даже выпускал футбольные значки.
Так, за одну ночь кооператив Юфы, переименованный в «Меркурий», выпускал до 200 тысяч стаканчиков, которые продавались во всем Советском Союзе.
Однако самое известное детище Юфы все же связано с финансовой пирамидой, идеей которой он увлекся еще в конце 80-х.
