В Киевской области почти вдвое выросла популяция волков. Хищники даже могут начать искать себе пропитание рядом с жилищами людей, сообщает Обозреватель со ссылкой на государственное лесхозпредприятие «Киевоблагролес».
Впрочем, специалисты уверены, что эти заявления — преувеличение.
«В Киевской области почти в два раза увеличилась популяция волков. Этих хищных животных уже заметили в районах области, где их раньше не было, в частности, в лесах Иванковщины.
Весной в селе Олива было зафиксировано увеличение обращений жителей относительно нападений волков на домашних животных», — говорится в сообщении на сайте «Киевоблагролеса».
В лесхозпредприятии утверждают, что, если в течение последних 20 лет в области отстреливали ежегодно в среднем 10-15 волков, то в охотничьем сезоне 2016-2017 годов — 35 особей.
В 2018 году, по данным ведомства, количество волков в разных районах региона увеличилось.
Среди причин — рост количества копытных животных, пожары в Чернобыльской зоне отчуждения, которые могли спровоцировать миграцию хищников, и малоснежные зимы, благодаря которым животных было сложно отслеживать.
Более того, в ведомстве отмечают: возросшую популяцию волков могут не вместить в себе охотничьи угодья, что может спровоцировать животных искать себе еду вблизи домов местных жителей.
При этом, волк — типичное животное для Киевской области, Полесья и всей Украине. Популяция волка всегда была и в Беларуси, Российской Федерации и Прибалтике.
В Украине численность волков регулируют охотники. Однако их работу может заблокировать ряд законодательных инициатив, зарегистрированных в Верховной Раде, утверждают в «Киевоблагролесе».
