Российские военные разведчики стояли за попыткой убийства лидера Черногории.
Соперничество России и НАТО имеет глубокие корни. «Но мог ли Кремль попытаться убить демократически избранного лидера, чтобы предотвратить вступление страны в альянс?» — пишет журналистка Newsweek Кристина Маза.
Согласно участникам расследования и экспертам, изучающим предполагаемую попытку государственного переворота в Черногории, именно это и сделала Россия два года назад, сообщает Inopressa.
«Новый доклад Института внешнеполитических исследований (Foreign Policy Research Institute, США) раскрывает новые подробности продолжающегося расследования попытки свергнуть правительство Черногории накануне парламентских выборов 16 октября 2016 года.
Участники расследования утверждают, что виновата в этом Россия», — говорится в статье.
Двух сотрудников российской военной разведки, Эдуарда Шишмакова и Владимира Попова, судят заочно после того, как они бежали в Сербию и позже были репатриированы в Россию. Обвинения были выдвинуты также против 12 жителей Черногории, сообщает издание.
«На первый взгляд, этот заговор звучит как сюжет шпионского романа. Предполагаемым организатором выступил Братислав Дикич, 48-летний бывший командир спецподразделения сербской полиции, также известной как жандармерия», — говорится в статье.
«По плану заговора, предположительно разработанного в Москве, Дикич должен был руководить отрядом из двух десятков боевиков, одетых в униформу черногорской полиции, целью которых было занять здание парламента Черногории и открыть огонь по протестующим в ночь после выборов.
Согласно обвинению, россияне Шишмаков и Попов заплатили Дикичу более 200 тыс. долларов для покупки оружия и шифрованных телефонов для осуществления заговора.
Эти насильственные действия должны были привести к введению чрезвычайного положения, что позволило бы пророссийским политикам, лидерам, выступившим против членства Черногории в НАТО, взять управление под свой контроль.
Во время этого хаоса заговорщики должны были убить тогдашнего премьер-министра Мило Джукановича», — передает журналистка.
Экономист и бывший коммунист, который повел Черногорию в направлении НАТО, Джуканович доминировал на политической сцене страны со времен получения ею независимости; по некоторым данным, он был другом бывшего мэра Москвы Юрия Лужкова.
Также под его руководством был приватизирован главный алюминиевый завод страны и продан российскому олигарху Олегу Дерипаске.
Дерипаска, по сообщениям, поспособствовал политической карьере Джукановича, наняв для него консультантом Пола Манафорта, бывшего руководителя предвыборного штаба Трампа, говорится в статье.
«Однако отношения Джукановича с российскими олигархами распались, когда страна встала на путь интеграции с Западом», — продолжает автор.
В декабре 2015 года правительство под руководством Демократической партии социалистов Джукановича, официально приняло приглашение НАТО вступить в альянс.
«Заинтересованность России в Черногории хорошо известна», — пишет Маза, напоминая, что численность российских туристов в стране превысила 300 тыс. человек в 2016 году.
«Однако, по мнению экспертов, интересы России в Черногории выходят за пределы приобретения летних домов и возможности провести отпуск. В течение нескольких лет Москва добивалась разрешения на использование черногорских портов для дозаправки и ремонта военных судов, которые используются для крупных операций, таких как в Сирии», — говорится в статье.
«Однако Джуканович отверг эти притязания. В ответ Россия решила наделить властью людей, которые бы повернули вспять евроатлантическую интеграцию страны и позволили России закрепиться там», — пишет издание.
Но заговор провалился.
По сообщениям, черногорские чиновники получили сигнал от своих сербских коллег, предупредивших о присутствии российских военных чиновников в стране. За четыре дня до выборов Мирко Велимирович, бывший полицейский, признался в участии в заговоре и оказании помощи в перевозке оружия.
Российские военные, поняв, что заговор был раскрыт, покинули страну, напоминает автор.
«Также обвинения были предъявлены главе сербского подразделения связанной с Кремлем байкерской группировки «Ночные волки» и ветерану российской войны на востоке Украины Александру Синджеличу. Позже он назвал Шишмакова одним из главных финансистов несостоявшегося переворота», — говорится в статье.
«Сейчас Черногория является членом НАТО и активно стремится к членству в ЕС», — пишет автор. Но эксперты предупреждают, что ситуация нестабильна.
«Попытка переворота стала показателем продолжающейся вовлеченности России в события в регионе. Черногория является тому примером.
Это демонстрирует способность России использовать жесткую силу и подпольные методы для подрыва и дестабилизации региона», — считает Марк Симаковски, эксперт по России в Atlantic Council (Вашингтон).
