Верховная Рада внесла изменения некоторые законы Украины по вопросам обороны относительно десантно-штурмовых войск. Законопроект №7330 поддержали 236 народных депутатов.
Закон меняет название рода войск с «Высокомобильных десантных войск» (ВДВ) на «Десантно-штурмовые войска».
Как отмечается в пояснительной записке к законопроекту, принятие закона обусловлено событиями, связанными с оккупацией вооруженными силами Российской Федерации части территории Украины, что повлекло негативное отношение личного состава и ветеранов-десантников к названию ВДВ (высокомобильные десантные войска) наряду с ВДВ (воздушно-десантные войска) страны-агрессора.
«Учитывая указанное, считается целесообразным изменить название высокомобильных десантных войск Вооруженных сил Украины на Десантно-штурмовые войска Вооруженных сил Украины», — отмечается в записке.
Начиная с 2017 года украинские десантники отмечают свой профессиональный праздник 21 ноября, а не 2 августа.
В Десантно-штурмовых войсках уже изменен цвет берета — с голубого на темно-бордовый (maroon).
Это – цвет крови, пролитой в боях за Украину.
Бордовые береты носят десантники в 59 странах мира, в том числе в 19 странах НАТО.
