Как сообщает replyua.net, на протяжении пятнадцати лет группа специалистов во главе с Марией Коррадой, доктором медицинских наук, и Клодией Кавас, известным невропатологом, наблюдала за десятками пожилых людей, чтобы установить, в чем заключается причина долголетия некоторых из них.
Результаты эксперимента шокировали ученых – большинство людей, чей возраст превышает 90 лет, злоупотребляли кофе, увлекались спиртным и имели незначительный лишний вес.
Эксперты установили, что бокал вина в день или пара кружек пива действительно продлевают жизнь, впрочем, как и пара чашек очень крепкого кофе. Более того, среди долгожителей большинство людей имели небольшой избыточный вес.
Ученые утверждают, что дожить до глубокой старости шансы выше у тех, у кого имеются лишние килограммы.
Авторы исследования выступили на собрании Американской ассоциации содействия развитию наук и заявили, что не могут объяснить этот феномен.
Также они отметили, что большинство долгожителей имеют хобби, которым увлекаются не одно десятилетие.
