В Республике Сербской, автономном регионе Боснии и Герцеговины с большинством сербского населения, происходит наращивание вооруженных сил, свидетельствуют данные отчета исследовательского центра Foreign Policy Research Institute «Босния на русской доске для рубки: угроза насилия и как это предотвратить».
Местная полиция и другие должностные лица проходят российское военное обучение, накапливают военное оборудование, свидетельствуют документы получены СМИ, и все больше становятся похожими на хорошо обученных военных.
Вместе с тем Москва поддерживает националистические группировки боевиков в Боснии и Герцеговине. Выявлено по меньшей мере 78 вооруженных формирований.
«Для Москвы (Республика Сербская) является очень удобным фактором, который она может использовать для дестабилизации Европы, когда захочет», — говорит Майкл Карпентер, бывший чиновник Пентагона США.
Республика Сербская значительно увеличила расходы на оружие, купив около 4000 автоматических винтовок за последние два года.
Президент Республики Сербской Милорад Додик строит новое хранилище у регионального аэропорта, а бывшие бараки югославской армии превращаются в «учебные центры полиции», сообщает местная пресса.
Новая дорога, связывающая учебный центр с хранилищем, позволяет полиции действовать как настоящая армия.
«Дорога идет через заброшенные деревни и не имеет никакой другой цели, кроме скрытого перемещения оружия и военных», — говорится в отчете.
Политический конфликт больших масштабов остановит интеграцию Боснии с Западом, от чего Москва выигрывает, считает балканский аналитик Димитар Бечевое.
«С другой стороны, это может втянуть Россию в конфронтацию с Западом на еще одном фронте. Нынешнее состояние — медленный конфликт и обструкция от Додика лучше служит интересам России», — добавил он.
